Shaun Chang is a recent PhD graduate at the New Media studies center at Tsinghua University in Beijing. She is interested in IPTV, digital content and creative industry in China. She writes for Asian Business Leader and Global Business Reader magazines in China. She is working closely with her professor, Xiong Chengyu, an adviser to the central Chinese governmnet on cultural industries. Before she moved to Beijing in 2004, she worked for Associated Press Television News, the TV department of AP in Taipei for 5 years. While she worked for AP as a senior producer, she has covered numerous global events including APEC and WTO meetings in Asia, Middle East and the US. She worked in Hong Kong from 1997-1999 for Chinese Television Network, where she was senior executive producer. Previously Shaun Chang was with the American network ABC news division, where she worked as associated producer for evening news bulletins and Nightline. She holds a Masters of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.
